llms.txt explained: what it is, which AI crawlers read it, and how to write one

What llms.txt does, which AI crawlers actually read it, what to put in it, and a copy-and-adapt template with Wideweb's own file as the example.

Turns out 97% of llms.txt files across 137,000 domains got zero requests in a month, and the biggest group of bots fetching the rest were SEO audit tools, not AI engines.

EU AI Act timeline 2025–2027: every deadline that touches a business website

Every EU AI Act deadline in one list: Feb 2025 duties, the 2 Aug 2026 transparency rules, and what is deferred to 2027 — written for website owners.

Turns out the July 2026 Digital Omnibus pushed most high-risk AI rules to December 2027 but did not move chatbot disclosure, which has applied since 2 August 2026, so the EU AI Act deadline most websites face has already passed.

Google can't see my FAQ schema (it can — it just won't say)

A flawless FAQPage graph, an empty test result, and the August 2023 policy change everyone forgets at exactly the wrong moment.

Turns out Google's Rich Results Test only reports rich results you're eligible for — and since August 2023, FAQ rich results are reserved for government and health sites, so your perfectly valid FAQPage markup shows up as nothing.
